Book your 20 min headshot session.


Simply select your 20 minute time slot, during which time you will have the option to add hair + makeup.

Headshot days are hosted monthly, so you can choose the month that works best for you. Dates released 2-3 months ahead.

Upon booking you will receive an email that details all the things you’ll need to know about your session, straight to your inbox.

Arrive at your headshot session feeling at prepared and at ease.

Just bring yourself - I’ll take care of the rest

No posing experience needed - I’ll guide you throughout with simple direction and encouragement, capturing natural expressions, flattering angles and easy poses.

Your 20-minute session includes one main look and a simple top change. Add variety with layers, and use our chairs or desk setup for relaxed or polished work-style portraits. Bring your laptop if you’d like to include it.

You’ll leave with a fresh collection of portraits for your website, marketing and profile images.

Getting your images to you happens in 3 steps.

  • 3 days following your session - proofing gallery delivered

  • Select your favourites

  • Retouching and image delivery

Your finished, professionally retouched images will be delivered straight to your inbox, ready to use across your website, marketing, and profile pictures.

The total turnaround time from your session to final image delivery is 7 days.

Want headshots for your whole team?

Can do! Smaller teams of 2 to 4 people can book consecutive 20-minute sessions through the booking system.

When you book multiple sessions together, we can also capture a few team photographs within your allocated time.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Headshot Day is a simple, relaxed way to refresh your professional portraits without committing to a full photoshoot.

    Sessions are hosted every month at my easily accessible studio at inner city Collingwood. a central.

    Each session is 20 minutes long, with bookings scheduled back-to-back throughout the day, so you can pop in, update your portraits, and get on with your day.

    We will take a series of photos, from which you will choose your favourite 5.

    Your selected images will be retouched and delivered to you via digital download.

  • A Headshot Day session is $490+GST, which includes five professionally retouched images.

    Hair + makeup is an option add on for $300+GST

    Payment is made in full when you book your appointment.


  • Absolutely. You don’t need to know how to pose or feel comfortable in front of the camera. You’ll receive clear, easy direction throughout the session, with plenty of encouragement to help you relax and look like yourself.

  • Yes! After your photoshoot you will receive an email link to your image gallery. This will be all of the photo’s we took together, minus any blinks or shots I feel did not make the cut.

    You will have the option to add on extra individual images OR upgrade to the whole image collection. All pricing info will be supplied at the time your your gallery is sent to you.

  • Yes, the studio is at street level and has no steps at the entry point.

    The whole studio is on one level, including toilets.

  • Outfit choice is a common source of pre-shoot anxiety, but the goal isn’t to look like someone else. It’s to look like you on your best day.

    Choose clothing that feels comfortable and reflects how you want to be seen professionally. Solid colours and simple textures tend to photograph beautifully, while logos and busy prints can distract from your face. You might also consider incorporating your brand colours for a cohesive look.

    20-minute session works best with one main look and one simple change. Layers such as a blazer, jacket, scarf, or statement earrings can quickly create variety between setups.


  • Within 10 days of your headshot session you'll receive an online gallery to browse and select your favourites.

    You’ll then have 7 days to select your 5 favourite images.

    After that, I’ll spend 7 days professionally retouching and preparing your final images.

    Your complete gallery will be delivered within 24 days of your session.

  • Yes. Professional hair and makeup can be added to your booking for an additional fee.

    This service happens on-site at the studio and takes 1 hour. Your headshot session will start as soon as your hair & makeup is completed.

    The cost of this service is $300+GST

    Appointments are only available at selected times throughout the day, so please book this in advance to secure your preferred time.

  • Yes. If you need to adjust your booking time, please reach out via email and we will find a suitable alternate date for you.

  • Yes, for smaller teams of 2-4 people, you can simply add on additional sessions back -to-back within my booking system.

    For larger teams, please email gemma@gemmacarr.com.au and we can book you in on a separate date with full flexibility around timing.
